Do you have forehead lines and wrinkles that aren’t responding to anti-aging creams and serums? Do you want your facial appearance to look as young as you feel? If that’s the case, you may be a good candidate for Botox injections. These FDA-approved treatments are perfect for individuals who want to smooth away the appearance of wrinkles and lines in less than two weeks.
But do Botox injections actually hurt?
Do Botox Injections Hurt?
Botox injections are delivered via needle tip, so for some clients, they can be a little uncomfortable. However, there are steps that can be taken to help make you feel better during your procedure, including:
- Numbing the area with ice about 20 minutes before your procedure
- Using a numbing cream before injections
- Talking you through what you can expect from the injection process
At Nirvana Plastic Surgery, we ensure all of our patients are 100% comfortable during any procedure, including Botox injections.

What to Expect After Botox Injections
Most Botox injections take about 10 to 15 minutes to perform. After the injection, you may notice some minor redness and bleeding at the targeted site; these side effects should fade after about two to three days. We recommend that you avoid working out or getting overheated for the first 24 hours after your Botox injection, as it can cause the formula to spread elsewhere.
You should see your final results about one week after your Botox injection. Results can last for up to three months, at which point you’ll need to schedule another Botox appointment to maintain your results.
